If you answered "yes" to all questions, we want YOU to be a part of our research!

Participants will receive a $40 gift card as a token of appreciation for their valuable contribution to the research study.

  1. Are you a woman between the ages of 18 and 49?

  2. Do you live in South Australia?

  3. Have you migrated from a developing country?

  4. Are you sexually active?

  • What am I being invited to do?

You're invited to participate in a research study involving a questionnaire and a 60-minute interview.

  • Questionnaire: The questionnaire gathers demographic information such as education, occupation, ethnicity, etc.

  • Interview: The interview allows you to share experiences related to sexual function. It covers physical, emotional, and psychological aspects impacting sexual well-being. The interview will be conducted in a manner that allows you to openly express your experiences and perspectives, fostering a supportive environment for sharing valuable insights into the interplay between migration and sexual well-being. You can choose to speak in your preferred language or English during the interview.

  • What will happen to my information?

Your information will be treated with the utmost sensitivity to maintain privacy and confidentiality. Personally identifiable information will be safeguarded using pseudonyms or codes. Interview transcripts and questionnaires undergo thorough de-identification, replacing real names with pseudonyms.
Data will be securely stored in a password-protected cloud system and encrypted platforms at the University of Adelaide. Participants can request a summary of the results for transparency and accessibility while preserving confidentiality.

  • Are there any risks associated with participating in this project?

While this study is designed to minimize risks, some questions may touch on sensitive personal topics related to sexual health and relationships. Your participation is entirely voluntary, and you are under no obligation to answer any question that makes you uncomfortable. You can withdraw from the study at any point without facing any consequences
